We believe in the communities where we live and work and in response to this belief we vigorously volunteer our time, contribute monetarily and lend our skills to improve the lives and circumstances of others. Throughout its history, Custer Financial Services has followed a philosophy of giving back to the community. Betty and Corkey Custer, and their two children, are particularly involved in the arts, and in helping to groom future generations of artists.

We support nationally known, as well as grassroots organizations that are qualified 501(c)3 groups providing meaningful and important work that makes a difference in the lives of others. Haiti Partners is a project involving members of the Madison Christian Community Church and others in the Madison, Wisconsin, area who feel a sense of call to form mutually transforming partnerships with the people of Haiti. Volunteers focus their efforts on education, economic empowerment, health care and food, and work with the poorest of the poor in rural and urban Haiti.

Harvest of Hope, a project of the Churches' Center for Land and People, is an ecumenical program that provides financial and program support for farm families in crisis.
